This makes me think really. Really I don't think that love and liberation should be mutually exclusive. Glad that inner strength has restored wisdom here, and I wonder if love also continues. Thanks for participating in Poetry Jam!
Love should not mean less freedom but I understand the thirst for balance in life when some kind if wisdom is achieved.
yes liberation from all the mundane desires..inner strength and wisdom will definitely help...nice reflective lines Arathi...
it is interesting...sometimes though our heart will lead us astray if we depend on only it to guide us....because our lusts will lead us to some dark place that are far from bliss...well played
I like that inner strength and wisdom when love seems to drown us ~ Good one ~ Have a lovely week ~
Excellent point and poem! We need to keep perspective, especially to keep our strengths alive and not lose them in love. :-) Thank you very much for your visit to my blog
I like your unique take! We do need balance for bliss.
Love drowns me - love this and it really works, that power that changes everything. Well Done
Very nice lines, Arathi! I really enjoyed reading this, it left me thinking... Sounds like Plato, the philosopher, and the idea that passions keep us away from the things that make us grow inside. Just a very personal interpretation. Again, very nice write!
Culturally, I understand where you are coming from as my dad is from India and this is a popular theme in our family discussions. Lovely poem and I loved the bowl of smileys. Heheh.
