My attempt of Dada poetry for the prompt Dadaism
First, that title and picture are so eye-catching ~ Formless words and no-sense words doing ballet, looks entrancing ~ Trying to search oneself is always a journey ~
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace:)
Deleteha. there is a nice movement to your words....that is accented by the structure///marshmallow fields could be fun...ha....to what lengths we will go to find ourselves eh? smiles.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian..my younger daughter loves marshmallows and she talks non stop..smiles..I see her a lot in this poem..
DeleteWell I can see dada as 'no sense words do ballet.' And your poem was quite a dance. Smiles.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary..:)
Delete"memory melting horizon / formless energy"..i love this part and the search for self in this crazy world...
ReplyDeleteThanks Sumana:)
DeleteReading yours, I realized how much synesthesia can be a Dadaist tool. So well captured.
ReplyDeleteMarshmallow fields forever... wonderful title... and yes this is very visual.. not the least in structure..
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of 'marshmallow fields' and the dance at the end adds a very happy touch.
ReplyDeleteno-sense words do ballet
ReplyDeletetrying to // search // myself .... love that
Yes, no-sense words do, do ballet! Good work!
ReplyDeleteOn point, plied they (the ballerina nonsense word) arabesque, jenet turn and lift in tours astounding shouting deafening feet, so sweet they protest gravity.
ReplyDeleteLiked it much!
You opted for the harder of choices, random words (cut out or imagined) that absurdly connect with each because you have directed them too; like an abstract artist, Picasso turning a bicycle into a bull, just because he said so. Nice response to the prompt.
ReplyDeletePerfect dada, disjointed and mysterious! Nicely done Arathi!
ReplyDeleteHank
that was really different and rocking!
