Dipped in a dark black sweet
chocolate
pain
Trickling like honey
crevasse of
Heart
moon kissed lips waited
dew drops to
quench
silk like silence embraced
thorns inside
dance
rainbow of happiness
couriered love
Letter
I love the dreaminess of this piece..like candy savoured and loved.. always a pity when we hit a bitter bit...
ReplyDeleteA letter is really so rare, isn't it? When a person receives one it definitely does bring a rainbow of happiness.
ReplyDeletewhat sharp contrasts you weave here.. chocolate and pain - thorns and dance... love them a lot.. sharp as a knife
ReplyDeletesmiles...love can be the most wonderful and the most painful thing...ha...i rather like the last one...the line break before letter is awesome....
ReplyDeletebeautiful mixture of immiscible things!
ReplyDeletesilk like embraced thorns inside...how much it hurts! The pain of love and putting up with appearances.
ReplyDeleteWell done Arathi.

ReplyDeletecouriered love

Yes, it used to be letters on snail mail. But email still serves the same purpose! What is important is love is extended! Wonderful write Arathi!

love all the sharp contrasts specially the last two...beautiful lines Arathi.
ReplyDelete...
love def. has both sides... the sweet and the bitter...and that makes it what it is..
ReplyDeleteI liked the 4th stanza particularly; for thorns, stickers, burrs can be infinitesimal, yet still perceived & felt. If love is the common denominator in the universe, as I believe it is, it makes a fine host for your impressive response to the prompt.
ReplyDeleteSo unexpected, very well done, smiles ~
ReplyDeleteThe balance in this is well played!! Great write!
ReplyDeleteI think the tilus is a perfect setting for your poems. The stark form sets off the contrasts well. See, now I can't eat dark chocolate and not think of pain. :-)
ReplyDeleteI tasted every single one of those words.
